Kendal AAC has an enthusiastic group of cross country runners during the winter season, with both road and fell runners competing for the club.

The main local race series is the six race Mid Lancs Cross Country League, which runs from October through to March with races for all age groups from U11s upwards, including seniors and vet categories.
